I can relate to the size of the cock roaches; they were huge in Hawaii too. They love the heat and humidity - thankfully we don't have them in MN.
I'm interested in hearing more about your class on apartheid.
On my first trip to London I took the tube to Picadilly and they were having a protest against apartheid.
    Love you,
    Aunt Judi

  2. Hi Al-
I am so excited to read your blog- isnt international travel the best education?? It really makes the world smaller and promotes understanding. Cockroaches? Yuk. I guess that is one good fortune we have for living in Minnesota. Just wondering if the folks in South Africa have a cultural greeting of pinching each other??? : ) Sending you gigantic hugs- Jill
